Good luck at your EN&T Appt tommorow, and hopefully there will be good news, and then the Inf shot can be given again, and the Victrelis introduced, after the 4 week lead in~
My husband get tinnitus a few times a week, as well...so he sleeps with the t.v. on. I hope yours get resolved, but if not, that you can still continue with your Triple Tx, and that it can be controlled. I'm glad your ear is at least feeling better, good luck~
I hope you are right working dog, and I can remain on treatment. Good luck to you and thanks for your advice
thanks for BoceprivirGal for your comment. I have taken pegasys before and never had the tinnitus, but it does seem to be a side effect of it. thanks again
I hear your slideman, I definitely will take hearing loss over ESLD. Thanks for your input
Thanks for your reply. I am seeing an ent tomorrow morning and I hope I can remain on therapy. I still have the tinnitus but the fullness is better after taking some antibiotics the the urent care doctor gave me. Hope your treatmnet goes well and you are free of the virus soon. Thanks again
Thanks so much for all your input. It's always good to know you aren't the only one out there with these symptoms. I am still taking the ribovirin and seeing and ENT on Monday. So hopefully I will get back on the shots next week. Thanks again
my ears rang during tx...my throat hurt on my left side too..right up to the ear...i think this is normal on tx
I remember having fullness in one of my ears, but I think it was about a week after I started the Victrelis. I also developed a sore tooth, and surrounding gum, and I did take a 10 day course of a weak antibiotic, Penn VK, which seemed to help the tooth and ear a bit.
I know I cant hear as well, now, but I cant figure out if it's my hearing or my comprehension....I cant take in conversations so well anymore : /
Try asking your Doctor to treat your side-effect, instead of stopping your treatment. I hope your Doctor has experience in treating Hep C
I
I got the fullness and ringing about a month after tx. Benn to several specialists. I think I hear better now, about 4 months later. I will no doubt end up with hearing aids, but I'll take that over ESLD. I would never quit tx over hearing issues.
I did have it, actually felt like I needed a hearing aid, did read that it could be one of the side effects but doc didn't take me off, after I finished tx my hearing came back and tv gets on my nerves again.
I am still on meds. I have 15 more weeks out of 48 to do. No one ever mentioned taking me off meds and I would have fought that anyway.
Have you been seen by and Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) doctor. I thibnk if I was you I would see an ENT doc before making any decisions about meds. It could be an ear problem that has nothing to do with the Hep C meds.
