I don't think this contraindication applies to the Triamcinolone ointment though, FYI.

Since I used it so rerely, I forgot to mention it. Thank you for your important data. tahis one shot should take me througn the incivek period

I agree, but my psorias began 2 weeks after my oldest brother died, I was drinking heavily after that. My liver Biopsy showed "evolving Cirrhosis" whatever you do, never drink during your treatment, as psoriasis can be caused by that alone. I hope you do not have it.

As a former nurse, I contracted hep C through needle sticks. Psorias( total body) was bad . when I started treatment(with incivek), the psoriasis seemed to get better. but now it is overflowing my body. from scalp eo ankles and deeply miserable. Read the post I have that  So I got a 80mg shot the other day. The key to getting triamcinilone is it must be given deep Intramusculr, with a 1 1/2 ince needle 25g preferred. It works very quivky that way. most nurses do not know this. insist on this. it is very important.

Thank you sir, however it was too late because the deed had been done. If you have ever has psoriasis, you know thta constant day, and night itching , your gonna scratch. This ruins my sheets, clothes and long sleeve shirts, as well as causes misery because women tend to react woith discust. generally leaving me.This is not psoriasis in certain areas, but all over body psoriasis from ankles to my sacalp. even inside and behind my ears, I am not HIV positive. thank you so much. please let me know anything if you fell you need to, or have questions if you feel

And, no, systemic steroids should not be used while still taking Incivek. (hate there is no edit function here)

I suffered from a severe rash from the Incivek. I received a Kenalog shot but it was four days after I had completed my doings with the Incivek. It did very little good (may have been the amount I received wasn't enough) so I had to go on a tapering dose of prednisone the week after that for fifteen days in order to stop the progression of the rash, which continued even after stopping the Incivek.

GENERALLY AVOID: Coadministration with telaprevir may increase the plasma concentrations of systemic corticosteroids. The mechanism involves telaprevir inhibition of CYP450 3A4, the isoenzyme primarily responsible for the metabolic clearance of most steroids. No pharmacokinetic data are currently available, although telaprevir is a potent CYP450 3A4 inhibitor and may interact significantly.

MANAGEMENT: The use of systemic corticosteroids in combination with telaprevir is not recommended. Systemic corticosteroids should not be used to treat telaprevir-induced rash.
