Ways to increase the Immune System

I am Stage 3, Geno  1a, and awaiting treatment. Is there anything I can be doing to help my situation prior to getting treatment?
I am particularly interested to know if there is a supplement that will assist in increasing my platelet count (96,000). Not looking for the magic pill, just something I can be doing to help boost my immune system.

thanks for any help...

Your platelet production is being interrupted by the state of your liver, so being good to your liver may at least give some status quo rather than increasing damage.

I just beets/apples/ginger/celery/carrots almost daily, ate easily managed proteins (white meat/fish/legumes) cut out sugar, drank good quantities of water.  I regularly took B-complex & omegas and made sure none of my supplements had iron.   I did try other supplements which were a mixture from the Naturopath... see 'Gauf' who had a good list of supplements for tx many of which were good for prior.

I know excercise can help platelets, but not sure if it's relevant when they're low - hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in on that one.   Hope your tx starts soon.
