black stool

I have hep c but have never had any problems with this and havent undergone any treatment.However lately I have been drinking a few glasses of red wine every night. This morning my stool was jet black.normal but jet black.any advice would be great.

It is most likely the red wine that is causing the black stools but get checked out if it doesn't go away after not drinking wine for a couple of days.

Go to the ER or call your doctor ASAP. Black stool could be varices bleed which can kill you. I know I survived an event of varices bleed but just about did not.

Drinking with hepc....YOU A FOOL...soory but i hope my words wake you the truth hurts...either that or you have no clue what hep c is

Black stool usually means there is some bleeding somewhere in the GI tract. See a GI doc ASAP !!! Drinking alcohol with Hep C can cause cirrhosis which can cause varices that bleed.  Hope everything turns out ok
