Fever

Woke up yesterday morning with 102.8 fever then this morning with 100.2. And I am taking an antibiotic. My doctor called Saturday and I missed the call. I was so mad. All he said was that he needed to go over some test results and not to worry. He said don't worry about 5 times. Now what have I done all weekend "Worry"

I was running up to 104 temp the last 10 days of tx. Funny thing I never would have known because I didn't have a thermometer . It wasn't until I ended up in ER I was so sick. They didn't do much more then give me an Ibuprofen, I never did find out why I was so sick. I think I had the flu. Four months after tx and with a UTI I finally got a thermometer. Try not to worry. Hate it when doctors do that tell you not to worry. That means he found something but I'm sure you'll be fine. Sounds like you temp is coming down that's a good sign.

I'm gonna believe it's a sign the WBC are still doing their best. If its any comfort, I ran one for several weeks in my latter 30 weeks.
I'm sorry to hear it, tho. Fevers are draining. Please keep us posted. H2O! You're one tuff cookie.

It's too bad he didn't tell you why you didn't need to worry.
Sometimes, they know more than they say, because to them, these things aren't worrisome. Of course to the patient, they are.

A fever by and of itself, is not worrisome unless it gets very high and stays that way. That's what my nurse told me.

You are a real trooper. Hang in there.

Oh, that does sound worrisome~
Are you taking anything for that fever?  I am still not completely clear about which fever reducer is safest for us.
I always sponge my kids off with cool water, when they have a fever, and keep light cotton clothes on them.
I'm so sorry your week-end is going this way, make sure to drink plenty of fluids, so you dont dehydrate, and try to stay quiet.
You will feel better once you talk with your Doctor tommorow, and let him know how many days you've had your fever.
Take care, and Happy Mothers' Day <3

If it's any comfort, our doctor has called over the weekend to check in a few times, it's when he has a chance to catch up.  Saturday might have been your doctor's time for reviewing test results.  Please don't assume the worst.  How long have you had the fever?

Hey, I always read your weekly shot posts and I know it's been a bit of a rough ride lately.

I am trying to think if my doctor has ever called me at home. And on a weekend, no less. What all tests did you take? Maybe there is a clue there.
I would be worried as well but truly there is not much you can do right now without more info. Best to relax and let yourself heal. Tomorrow is Monday and you are sure to find out what your results were.  Try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know!
