well went to specialist today and assumed i would learn more...ha...gotta wait til i get second round of bloodwork back to find out geno and go have an ultrasound down...only positive he said was that since my alt/ ast were normal he might not be able to start any treatment as it would not be good unless i had damage to liver..arg...before i got there i had a panic attack as i have had all week since last monday labwork being positive to hvc...went st8 to other doc and he gave me lorazepam to hopefully help with anxiety...any one try this? does it help? since diagnoses a week ago ive been freaking out ...before i found out i was fine didnt feel like ive been feeling...

Change right now in the beginning like I should have.  Really, do yourself a favor.  If you don't like him now, you never will.  Plus if I had no damage I would want to treat BEFORE there is any.    Denise

Yes, lorazepam will help.  You will also need a biopsy, but they will not order that until they see the other imaging results and the bloodwork.  There is a lot of waiting between the diagnosis and treatment.  Try to take it one day at a time, at least for now.  Otherwise you will stress yourself out before you even get started.
