Last night I took my last shot

48 weeks later, I took my last Interferon shot last night. 6 more days of Rib and that's all folks. Completed Clinical Trial in the BMS790052 study for non and partial responders for chronic HCV Genotype 1 (I have 1B)...undetected, but need to wait 6 months before I celebrate.

Minimal side effects so I feel very fortunate...

You may have seen this.  It was apparently about a study just completing before yours which I assume was Phase III?  http://hepatitiscnewdrugs.blogspot.com/2011/09/bms-790052-positive-results-from-phase.html

Great!  I started with the high barrier to resistance drug PSI 7977 and dropped 5 log within 7 days.  BMS 790052 was added on day 8 to mop up the remaining 50 UL or so virons and I achieved UND between Day 11 and 14.  Mild fatigue and some flatulence but that is fading.  I am Day 26.  Still early.  I expect SVR next year if I stick to the program.  All 4 people I have heard from in this study got RVR incl 3 1a and a 2.  I will be checking on another friend who is 1b entering his week 3.
