Do you know how you responded to your previous treatment? Were you a relapser, null responder, or partial responder? Response rates vary for each group. In the phase III clinical trials, everyone got Interferon and Ribavirin, with the addition of either Telaprevir (Incivek) or placebo.
For relapsers, SVR rate was 86% with Incivek added versus 22% with placebo.
For partial responders, SVR rate was 59% compared to 15% for group who received placebo.
For null responders, SVR rate was 32% vs 5%.
There are many many threads on this site about Telaprevir / Incivek. Type this into the search engine at the top and check out all the wealth of information that others have shared.
Yes the new direct-acting antivirals (DAA's) are going to change the landscape of HCV tx, and it's a good time to consider treating again. Best wishes to you.

Thank you, Lapis.
I went on the web , did not find info how much % incivek increase
your chance to cure the hepC.
Is anybody knows statistics?
Does this tx (intrferon, ribovaran and incivek) takes the same approach - if it does not work in 12 weeks you
should stop it?
Thank you for the valuable info all of you!!!
I did not get good result with interferon and riboviron
and was waiting for new tx
I just got my rx for it. "Incivek". NDC# 51167-100-01 or 02 (blister pack of by the bottle-168)
Depending on you RX provider, you need to find out if it is in their formulary so the insurance can process it and find out your co-pay. Im on blue cross and they had it within a week on their formulary. Drug store has to order it. Riteaide said it retails for about $9200 a month (ouch!)...luckily my co-pay is only $70 a month.
Correct spelling is Incivek.
