paxil...10 mg tablets...does this sound right?

today i started taking them after seeing the doc in prep for the new tx hopefully soon.......billy

One of the nasty treatment side effects is insomnia.  Paroxetine (Paxil) is also prescribed to help restore the sleep cycle.  But it's not successful in everyone.  Some people get a bit wired on the drug, and for them it's not appropriate.  Others get sleepy and calmed, and for them it can be helpful.  In the latter case, it's often prescribed along with a valium analogue for sleep.

Paxil is used to help you with anxiety.  They started me on some meds too to calm me down.  This is supposed to keep us from being too depressed about our treatments, and being sick from them.  Good luck man! I hope you have good results!

Yes Billy, that sounds about right.  The dose can always go up if needed.  Good luck on your TX!
