No Hep C does not cause a false positive. If you tested positive and you know you haven't been smoking pot there may be other sources. One could be have you been around anyone recently while they were smoking? Just being in the same room while others smoke or have recently smoked allows THC to get in your system. Also poppy seeds, often found on muffins and in bread, can cause a false positive result on drug screens. In fact many people on probabtion getting drug test are told not to eat anything with poppy seed or poppy seed extract in it. Other than this the only other option is you smoked pot and got tested too soon, in some people THC takes up to 45 days to clear out of your system unless the drug screen is a hair folicle test, then it can test positive for many months after smoking. Urine test usually clear out within 30 - 45 days.
We're talking more than apples and oranges here.
You're talking about a virus showing up on a test for chemicals... No, I don't think so.
