questions about hep exposure

Hey guys, just want to say first off, thanks for all the great support on here. My question may sound strange, but I have never heard of this happening or experienced it. I live in an urban area, and last week, I noticed a few small pieces of feces that were tracked into my house. I thought of course, that they must be from a dog, but then I smelled it and it definitely was human, My roommate also smelled it and agreed with me that it was not dog poop. I am extremely concerned about this. I thoroughly washed my hands after contact but I do have a cut on my hand, but I think I should be fine. Because of this we also had our carpets cleaned. I am concerned that the feces may have come in contact with random objects in my house and I am concerned to touch something, then touch my mouth without thinking and contract HIV or Hep A, B, C. it has been one week since the incident and I am concerned to live in my own house. Also, I live in a place where it is very cold (below freezing) at night. Could I safely assume that if this feces was from outside that it would have froze over night and the potential viruses would be dead? also, what viruses would I need to worry about in this situation? thank you for the help

You're exactly right toohip. One could always consider taking the Howard Hughes approach and become a recluse, sit fixated in a chair, naked, continuously watching movies, day after day and only emerge bi-yearly for simple hygiene sessions.  They can use tissue to pick up objects and open doorknobs and relieve themselves in empty bottles and containers so that they would be insulated from germs and viruses.

That certainly would be one way of dealing with the unknown.

Hep c is not transmitted by poop, human or otherwise.  Hepc is transmitted by blood to blood contact only.  You could eat a **** ball rolled in sugar and not contract hepc.

Consider all the door knobs you have touched in your life. Do you think everyone washes their hands after using the bathroom?

Regarding the HIV, Hep B and Hep A , sorry can't help you there.
