Thanks for the news kathy.I'm type 1 with 30yrs hcv and appreciate hearing of your great results.
Good news??? That is GREAT news! Congratulations!
Hi, I'm 26 yo, 1b, VL 724000 UI/ml, week 7. So far I had minimal sides, but like DH Bill said, very low energy level. I was active runner until 1999 when I took a break. Last year I slowly started moving again, but had to stop due to unbearable joint aches - this is how I learned I have HCV. I wish I could jog for at least 5km... My HBG went down to 118 at week 4, plus this crazy cough... Hope you're better off:)
Sorry to jump in here but I didn't want to use up a thread - Just got my results from my 6 month post treatment PCR and I'm still undetectable! Whoo whoo!!! Just to give you 1's some hope, I was a 1a, have had this for about 30 years. For those on treatment - just hang in there - there's hope!
Kathy
My stats are close to yours, 1b 315,000 viral,54yrs old, shot #8 tommorow, very active. My sides have been minimal except for the fatigue. Until spring of this year I raced downhill mt bike. In 2002 I was ranked #2 in the N.W. in expert, could have moved up to simi pro or pro but there is more competition in expert in 50yr to 59yr group. I smoked a lot of the younger classes.
I stopped downhill and concentrated on cross country which lasted about 2 weeks into treatment. I cannot ride at all now. It is an effort to even go hiking. I just stop and rest a lot.
My doc says to stay as active as I can which I am trying to do.
We all react differently to tx but go into it with a positve attitude. Water and gator aide is good which you should be used to like me. I think the more healthy and active you are is an advantage. Try not to go into with fear do it just like a race RUN TO WIN.
