telaprevir therapy

I recently completed treatment with peginterferon alfa-2b plus ribavirin back in November 2009 and did not respond to the initial therapy. I had minimal side effects and tolerated the medication fairly good. Now I am eating healthy and try to exercise everyday.

I have read about telaprevir therapy and its availably in roughly three years but till then what kind of supplements besides milk thistle has anyone been taking to help keep HVC at bay?

Thanks for that info. I've been on here a while and seen mention of HR and didn't know how to find his stuff.

Telaprevir and boceprevir should be available in the next 1-2 years. A lot of people seem to be expecting 2011. Sorry to hear that the therapy was ineffective for you. Keeping your weight to normal, and eating well and exercising are important to liver health, as well as not drinking.

There are studies that suggest that 3 cups of coffee a day can slow the progression of fibrosis. I don't know what stage you are at, but thought I'd pass that along.
Be well-Dave
