The rash can start anytime after beginning Incivek. If the rash is systemic and covering 50% of your body this early in treatment there is cause for concern. Some people have such a severe allergic reaction to the Incivek they are forced to stop treatment. No amount of steroid cream or anti-itch meds will control it. To me, the severe rash looks like a case of the measles gone wild. Very pronounced red, raised rash covering large areas of the body.
Glad you're seeing the doctor and an rx for atarax and steroid cream may help considerably.
Sounds like the Incivek, as stated below it usually begins by week 4, this is from clinicaloptions site........... Best to you
Most rashes among individuals in the ADVANCE study were mild to moderate; severe rash occurred in only approximately 5% of patients treated with telaprevir.[19] Telaprevir was stopped to manage the rash in 6% of patients but, importantly, pegIFN/RBV were continued. Only 1% of patients had to stop all therapy for severe rash. Rash typically occurred within the first 4 weeks of treatment, but it can occur at any point during the 12-week telaprevir exposure.
