Insomnia

Hi everyone,
As many of you know I just finished treatment,,,last pill on thursday 11/11/10,, and just tested negative so all is well so far.........except,,,
I am not sleeping.  I am exhausted, have not slept well since last Sat.
Has this happened to anyone after they finished tx?  Is this related to the lack of Riba or Interferon in my system?
Just wondering if this is a common thing??
I know it takes 3-6 months for the meds to leave the body.
I dislike taking ambien as I feel nausea in the AM.
I take Trazedone,, however, that is not working very well.
Signed,
happy to be done, however........exhausted in Arizona!

I agree about the exercise and do try to every day.  It seems to be getting a little easier however, still do not have all of my energy back.   I finished 11/11 so it sounds like we are going through the same after sx now.
Congrats to you as well.  Such a relief, isn't it!

I took my last riba pills on 11/12/10.  I had a problem with the pharmacy and had one day that week without so I made up for it.  I expected to start feeling better right away too.  When it didn't happen I read some old posts and found out it could take a little time.  So, since there's no choice, I'll give it some time.  There are a lot of old posts from people who three months out felt almost back to normal.  That's my goal.  Exercise helps, so we may want to consider that (ugh).  Just kidding, I drug out the treadmill because it's already snowing here.  I need to build my muscles back up, I was a lethargic slug on tx.

Congratulations on finishing!!!  Really, it will get better.

Thanks Carol!

And here I thought I would be sleeping like a baby!  Its like my body is wound up and cannot relax some of the time... weird..

I agree, hope it stops soon.  When did you complete your treatment?

I'm having the same problem.  Part of it is nerves I think.  Once we have done all we can, all we can do is wait and see if it worked.  But part of it, I think, is withdrawal and the medicine still there causing itching and other stuff.  My hair didn't start thinning till the last week of Oct, but I'm still losing it.  Hope that stops soon!  Things will get better.  I'm sure of it!!
