vx-222

Hi All,

Is anyone aware of a way to obtain VX-222 without being in a trail or is anyone aware of a treatment program outside the USA using VX-222?  I would like to add it to my upcoming  telaprevir regime.

Thanks for any information.
Marc

You can't get the drug outside of a clinical trial. Period. The drug has not been approved by any regulatory agency anywhere and is not in production, so there is no chance of it being available outside of a clinical trial.

"why anyone would want to make up their own unapproved protocols........."
"Because they might die otherwise!!!"
Unfortunately you appear to be misinformed about the nature of hepatitis C and liver disease. If your liver disease is so advanced that you could die in the near future you would be too ill to attempt any treatment at all as your liver could not handle the impact of treatment when your liver is failing.
Please educate yourself on the treatments options that are available to you and learn the facts about liver disease and its progression. It is better to focus on the real options you have rather then pie in the sky fantasies.

Good luck.

Obviously you have no access to the meds. Unless you steal them in a covert operation.

On a serious note, if you have ESLD I am truly sorry !  If not just do 3x it seems to be kicking the crap outta the virus from what I have seen. Is there anybody out there who hasn't gone UND by week 12 on 3x ? Should be November when people start to end 3x and April 2012 when we see the first SVR threads.

Good luck !

Don't go down that path. Either find a Dr who will help get you in a promising study, or stick to the new meds which have been approved.  Even if the VX222 results were coming back at 100% SVR rates, there's no way to get the meds and no way to regulate dosages and expected sides, etc if you could.  That's why it's still in trials.

And could easily die just adding random drugs to other newly approved drugs.  Die, fail treatment or put yourself into end stage liver disease - it's not wise and I doubt any doctor on earth would approve such things with non-FDA approved drugs.
