You have some really great friends on this forum...what an interesting read this thread was.... the highs and the lows..But through it all there was a consistant passion pouring out to you. I think that when our mortality is challenged we tend to gain strength and learn to really believe in our selves and others that are our support network.
You may have waited a long time to start - but this send off was worth it!
You Go Girl!!
Gee guess there's no turning back now huh??? lol

Aww, little LaLa hepper—
I haven’t read any of the comments in this thread yet, but I’m sure you’ve gotten some good thoughts above. I won’t bore you with repetition :o).
I really wish I could say something to magically take your apprehension away… I can only tell you my experiences with treatment have been quite tolerable. I understand you probably feel like you’re going to turn into a toadstool or something from these meds; it just won’t happen. While we might feel a little hung over the next morning from the first shot, the bulk of the side effects occur after time, and we seem to get somewhat used to them as we go along.
You and I have discussed common issues regarding anxiety/ panic/ depression, and I can tell you IFN/ riba never triggered any panic or major depressive episodes for me; that was one of my biggest concerns, and it never materialized. For the most part, this stuff makes me growly-grumpy; but even that is infrequent. My biggest issue is fatigue; I was busy this morning with grandkids and appointments, then slept all afternoon.
I know this is a big step for you, we go back several years and a couple of forums together… and I’m proud of you for giving this a try. You can always catch me here or PM me if I can be of help to you. I’ll even make the drive south to LaLa if you need some extra support :o).
Take care Angie; I’ll be sending lots of good juju your way--
Bill
You go girl! Everyone is here for you, just as you have been for so many of us!
All right ready to go, i also have anxiety issues and have preached the wonders of ativan to all make sure you have some on hand..set up your little ritual table mine was my dinning table clear all distractions and just go at your own pace with the shot, let me tell you if you think your going to get the shot and go to sleep , if your like me your not...take it around 5 pm so you can get through the scarey part and know at least that you have some what of a handle on it then get snuggled up in your bed and have a blanket or 2 on hand , and make sure your phone is near by , its just a comfort thing...you will get through this and be a ole pro before you know it...ativan and advil helped me through it...and some good ole prayers to the Lord just helped smooth things out.............God Bless You
