Want to understand my situation!!!

Hello,

I am a 18 year old male and have had sex with multiple females, protected and unprotected.  I had never thought about the reality of my actions until around this last Christmas I had a really bad cold sore on my lip.  I was in denial and told myself it was nothing and would just go away.  It went away in less than a week, but there is still a little scar where it was.  It has been about 2 months since I had the cold sore and the little scar is still present.  I also noticed 2-3 small white bumps under my nose and they haven't gone away for about 2 weeks.  A doctor told me that I do have herpes and gave me Acyclovir to use if I feel another cold sore come back.  I want to know how to be sure the doctor is right, because he just looked at it quickly.  Any help would be amazing.

1.) Will the scar go away?
2.) Is there anything I can do to be 100 % certain it is herpes?
Thanks a lot!!!

1. The scar may or may not go away. It depends on how your skin heals.
2. If another one appears, go to the doctor and ask them to culture it immediately and test for herpes
3. Get a type specific blood test.

...and stop having unprotected sex with multiple people. That is bad business.
