Confusing Information about HSV-1

I was recently tested for HSV when I noticed sores on my genitals and was diagnosed with HSV-1. I have tried to do some research and have found some contradicting things about HSV-1 when it is on the genitals, so I was hoping I could have a few things answered for me.

First is it true that it is less likely to have a recurrence when HSV-1 is located on the genitals?

Should I not allow oral sex to be performed now that HSV-1 has been diagnosed on my genitals?

Is it less likely that I could contract HSV-2 now that I have HSV-1?

I have never had a cold sore myself but is it possible to now start developing them if I have HSV-1 on my genitals?

I have tried several times to research this however not a lot of information is available because HSV-1 is usually diagnosed as cold sores and less commonly on the genitals. Any information you can provide for me would be helpful. Thank you for your time.

sounds like it's still your first ob running its course though it could be a recurrence. Not unusual to have a recurrence within 2 months of the initial infection.

if they are already healing, no reason to call for antivirals at this point.

if you get symptoms again soon, go and be seen and make sure you only having herpes going on. if you are female, get properly tested for yeast and bacterial vaginal infections too. they don't always present with odor or discharge and can cause recurrences as well as mimic them.

It was a lesion culture, I have not had a blood test done. The lesions have begun to redevelop as of late, maybe due to stress, my first outbreak occurred about two and a half weeks ago and seemed to be healing quickly but over the past few days it has redeveloped, is this normal? Or should I be trying to get some treatment?
