Herpes? Normal lesion?

Hi I'm a 27 year old uncircumcised male...about three weeks ago I spotted a bump on my shaft that was slightly raised an I brushed it off as something normal an soon it went down.it then felt like a hard spot under the skin upon squeezing gently. Two days ago I figured I could just go ahead an pop it an get the pus out like a normal pimple but that wasn't the case....now its just very irritated an swollen an hurts upon brushing up against my underwear ......I've read up on herpes an everything else an can't seem to figure out what this could be.Its one single bump that's very irritated now no clusters of anything.Could this be a cancre? Is this normal someone please help

Thanks I have an appointment to be tested a week from now....I hope it is just an inflamed hair an not a wart..Don't warts usually take the form of cauliflower an are more than one?

Hi, this doesnot suggest herpes as sores are soft and open with clear liquid causing it to spread in the surrounding area and would be somewhat painful.
Topical irritations like your describing could be inflamed hair folicals, warts or Mollescum. If your sexually active and concerned, have a doc check you out.
