im really worried

ive had cold sores since before i was pregnant w/ my daughter and after having her tried to be extremely careful abour giving them to her, always washing my hands and all that. well my husbands, friends teen daughter had one and it was all scabbed over and looked almost gone except the scab and I asked him NOT to let her touch our daughter...so after she picks the scab off her cold sore and doesnt wash her hands she touchs my daughter (on her clothed area) ! im not sure if she touched our daughters hands or not but i tried to wipe them off with baby wipes I am so worried shes going to get them now! we live 5 min. away and I rushed home and gave her a bath..i know im being overly scared but i dont want my 5 month to have them all over her hands and mouth and then spread them all over herself...i know there is nothing i can do ..after she ripped the scab off though you couldnt even see that there had been a cold sore there.....so do you think it was healed up enough that it wasnt contagious?? and maybe didnt spread to my daughter..I dont even know if she touched my daughters hands or not the first time my husband let her touch her, but as we were leaving my husband lets her touch our daughters hand with her finger that she probably used to pick the scab, so I wiped my daughters hands off with baby wipes and she also kissed my daughter on the head where it is covered by all hair, so I washed her hair very thoroughly but im still extremely worried!

The cold sore was already in the scabbing stage. It's just a grossness factor as far as her picking off the scab and then not washing her hands.  She touched clothing so it also wasn't an issue.

actually I do read and if you read at the website below you will you this.
" Touching the cold sore and then touching the skin of another person "

what im basically asking is since she did touch my daughters hand, and then I used baby wipes to clean off her hands, then only 5 minutes after that girl was touching all over my baby I gave her a bath to try and wash everything away..hoping it was that enough to wash away the virus

Wow you really need to relax. Oral herpes is transmitted from kissing - mouth to mouth. Just as a note, it can be transmitted oral to genital via oral sex.

Read. Be educated about herpes for goodness sake.
