HERPES

I was told i had herpes 5 years ago by GUM clinic, I have recently had treatment in hospital for something else and they wanted to send a sawb off to check the herpes again. They sent this swab to addenbrooks for testing. When this came back the test was negative???? Im so confused, the doctor said that i have not got herpes but i had been given tablets for treating this and it has destroyed any relationships i have had!!! Is there any way i could claim compensation for this being wrongly diagnosed. Im not sure if it would work? please help x

They took a swab of what ? and why would Herpes come into the equasion if you were in hospital for something else .....
As for claiming compensation I have no idea where you would stand with that personally the best compensation I would get would be the total relief of knowing I didn't have Herpes no amount of money would make me feel happier than that ..... it's life and mistakes are made unfortunately even in worse things than HSV ..... as for it ruining relationships ...... it wasn't the Herpes that caused this it was the shallow people you were around who I'm sure you're much better off without because they clearly didn't care enough about you in the first place, something like HSV whilst it's not the best thing to hear from someone neither is it the worst and certainly not good enough reason for anyone to end a relationship on that basis alone.many people have to work through much worse situations in their life than a skin condition  .....
It's back to the stigma thing again I'm afraid
