oral sex

I have HVS-2...
If my partner gives me non protected oral sex, will they contract hvs2 or hvs1?

Also since I have hvs2 and I perform oral on my partner could they get Hvs2?

I'm so confused...thank you for your help...

I'm afraid genital HSV-2 sheds most often of all the type/site combinations. Yes, she can get your HSV-2 if she gives you unprotected oral sex. It's tough to get, not because of the shedding rate, but because HSV-2 does not like to be above the waist. However, there is still a percentage of people who have oral HSV-2, but it hardly, if ever, recurs, though there is no guarantee that it will never recur.

There is no way to get HSV-1 from someone who does not have HSV-1. I hope this helps.

Hi, if you have hsv2 in the genital area and your partner gives you oral sex when you have a sore present, yes they could contract it orally. With no sore present the chances are very low as shedding doesnot occur that ofter. Bottom line is that contracting hsv2 oral is not that common.

If you have hsv2 in the genital area then you performing oral would not be a risk to the receiver because you dont have it oral.
Do you know where you have it, i assume in the genital area.
