Do I have genital herpes

Three weeks ago I had unprotected sex outside my marriage.  Last week, after a few days of on and off tingling on my penis i notice a small light red spot.  I went to a local STD clinic and was assured this was not genital herpes.  I went again the next day because it stressed me so much and again said it was nothing.  She did explain to me in great detail what a typical first outbreak would be and this was not it.  Returned home and later that evening my groin started hurting and i felt sick to my stomach.  Pretty much the same all day the following day. It's been 5 days since my initial visit and i've either have had tingling on my penis, back pains, muscle spasm in my legs....is it only stress? or should i worry of an upcoming outbreak and my first little red spot being a prodrome?  Thank you

I would add, I think your symptoms are due to anxiety. Also, unprotected sex with partners of unknown std status is risky behavior for you and your spouse. I am not making any moral judgement, but for yours and your spouse's health and safety, you should get in the habit of using condoms on a regular basis.

I agrew with 100% with the std clinic. I will add stop reading herpes symptoms lists. When you don't understand how the virus works you can't understand the context of the symptoms. None of this is herpes related
