I have genital herpes and know the signs and symptoms, but does oral herpes ever NOT show signs and symptoms and you can still have it and not know it?

Hi and yes. If a person has hsv1 oral, most often it was contracted at childhood and many times those with it dont have symptoms as the age due to antibodies developed. Blood test would confirm your status.
