Herpes questions/concerns, Please help!!!

I had a sexual encounter with a guy about 6 or 7 weeks ago, I had been tested before hand for all STD's and I know that I was clean. He had showed me some results that showed he was supposedly clean as well. I later found out that he had a girlfriend and that the two of them are in an "open-realtionship", he called me the other day and told me that about two weeks after we had slept together he had a rash that had appeared on his thigh (he had also slept with his gf numerous times since our encounter) and it didn't go away, he got tested and it came back as herpes simplex 2. I am freaking out. I have had no symptoms of herpes myself but I know that doesn't mean that I do not have the virus because it is possible to have herpes and it lay dormant and there be no symptoms or outbreaks. I don't know what to do, I have done some research and it appears that my chances are very low of contracting the virus from a one time encounter in which he was not going through an outbreak. But I just wanted to try to gather some information/advice on what I should do from here, I plan to get tested but I still have to wait several more weeks before I can get an accurate reading. I don't know if there is anything that I can do in the meantime or if I am stuck wondering-being extremely paranoid until then...please help!

You wouldn't happen to know what the chances are that I could have contracted herpes from this particular person, would you?
