Herpes?

I was tested 6 weeks after unprotected sex. 8 panel test for gonorrhea, chamdyea, HIV, HSV1, HSV2, syphillis...all was negative except HSV1 (1.3) and HSV2 (1.96). I have had no legions till date (6 1/2 week). I had a yeast infection with odor and doctor put me on ketoconazole cream at time of test. Would this affect test results?

At this point it is best to avoid sexual contact to help keeping the tests controlled and give you an idea of what you are dealing with.

I did get a yeast infection, thus the ketoconazole cream. Should I avoid sex till after testing so not to transmit to anyone else should it be positive result?

Was an accidental encounter. At a party and got drunk, close to passing out and realized she was on me. No excuse, should have controlled drinking?

No ketoconazole cream would not affect your herpes blood test results.

You tested a bit early, as it's best to wait 3 months for the most accurate herpes blood tests. Both of your HSV values are low-positive. You'd need to be retested and then if low positive again, get either the biokit or Western Blot.

That being said, a one-time encounter is low risk to begin with.

Has your partner been tested to know their herpes status?
