I am just an extremely paranoid person and worry about herpes the most because it is not curable, and when i get the even the slightest feeling something is wrong down there i tend to surf the web and i end up worrying myself even more because it seems like alot of STD's have the same basic symptoms and i am just trying to eliminate herpes. I posted another question on the urology boards asking about the tiny amount of discharge, the tingly feeling and the little bit of trouble i am having when trying to urinate. But Grace, thank you so much for your timely responses and helping provide me with some insight on what could be happening. I just tend to get extremely anxious and worry about things. I have tried to make an appointment with my dr but cant get in to see him for a week they said. Thats why i am trying to educate myself as best i can by coming here. Thanks again and sorry for all the long posts. have a great day.
your symptoms do not sound like herpes dear. not sure why you have herpes on the brain at this point? go and get the testing I suggested to get better answers as to what is going on at this point. wait and get herpes testing for peace of mind 3 months after the last time you had sex. no sense in testing repeatedly and doing it early.
Haha sorry I didnt realize it said female. Thanks for your response I really appreciate it!! You can ignore my last comment. Thanks again!!
I understand the 3 month wait, but if the symptoms I "think" I have (tingling, tiny amount of discharge) is in fact from herpes wouldn't a blood test come back positive even though it hasn't been 3 months and only 60 or 12 days since my last sexual encounter? If I think i am showing symptons of the virus wouldn't the antibodies be in my blood to get an accurate resulT even though it hasn't been three months? I'm a lil confused, it seems to me that if the discharge/tingling is from herpes then the test would come back positive correct regardless if three months has not passed. I just need clarification. Thanks so much!! Sry for the multiple comments.
you won't have discharge from herpes.
go and be seen and give an urine sample for testing for gonorrhea, chlamydia and ngu and go from there.
to properly protect yourself, the condom should go on when the clothing comes off. Just waiting to put it on for actual penetration, not using one for oral sex or only using one part of the time, puts you at risk and gives you reason to worry.
also since you are a male, less confusing if you change your gender to male from female - thanks!

I had planned on going this week for other tests because the main one I was worried about was herpes. I am an extremely paranoid. In all the encounters there was a brief lapse where protection was not used. Very irresponsible. But I was wonderin, now that I have noticed a tiny amount of discharge, and thats the really only symptom, if I went and had another blood test wouldn't it come back positive if the discharge was in fact from herpes? I am going to go insane if I have to wait too long, this is cosuming my life. Its been 12 days since the last time I had sex. Since this is the first time ive ever noticed anything "off" down there could I count out all the encounters but the last one? Its been 60 days since the next closest time ive had sex other than the one 12 days ago. Waiting 3.months will drive me crazy.
has your sex been protected?
you would need to wait 3 months after the last time you had sex to test for herpes in order for it to be accurate.
have you had other std testing done too?
