Hidden herpes?

I've seen the doctor about a burning sensation and irritation when I pee. I have also seen blood. One doctor said it was a uti,she then had me do a test for hiv and everything and a urine test. I was also placed on medicaion, and the burning and irritation began to go away. I saw blood in my urine again, a different doctor state that she thinks it may be herpes. My questions is back in 2014 and 2016 I got blood drawn as a test for hiv. Wouldn't the blood drawn also check for other stds, or do I need to do a test specifically for stds. Would having gonorrehea, make herpes not show up on a test. I recently got blood drawn in December when a doctor suggested I get tested for everyhting, but would that test have brought back a positive herpes test. Could other issues cover up a positive herpes test? There is this little sore looking thing on the penis tip, could that be a sign of herpes?
