Is it possible to get herpes blisters on lips within 24 hours?

I kissed someone around 1 am on a Sunday. On Sunday I got lip blisters around 9pm. Is it possible for lip blisters to form that quickly? I had no flu-like symptoms and the tickling started after the blisters formed. There was no red base under the blisters and the fluid was clear.

It may be herpes, but if it is, then you most probably have been infected since your youth. Hence if this is herpes it is not you, but your partner who is at risk. Have you checked in with her to see how she is doing?

Otherwise it could pimples (blocked pores and ducts), eczema, bacterial infection, hand/foot/mouth etc.

If it's not herpes then what could it be?

No, you cannot get blisters that quickly from an infection.

If this is herpes, then you've had the infection a long time most probably.
