Painful primary herpes outbreak, aciclovir?

Went away for the weekend and on the Saturday my wee started to burn, the next day I had so much swelling and started to get blisters and it got harder and harder for me to walk. I got back on the Monday night and went to the doctors straight away on the Tuesday morning and she stupidly misdiagnosed me with a water infection. The pain got worse and I knew in my gut these weren't the right antibiotics for me and she'd prescribed me wrong so I called 111 a day and a half after seeing the first doctor and got seen to by an out of hours doctor within a few hours and she told me I had herpes and prescribed me aciclovir 400mg 3 times a day for 5 days. I've now had 4 pills and not seeing a difference yet, the doctor said 24-48 that I'll start seeing a difference but the pain is unbearable to walk, I can't even lay down without it hurting and there's so much hard crust around my vagina opening that chafes and catches on my pubic hair when I walk that it makes it almost impossible, when will this go?

Primary outbreaks can (as you know) be very rough. It will take 7-10 days for this to stsrt to feel much better

So if it started Saturday will it start to feel better Saturday or 7-10 days after I started my aciclovir?
Everyone is different. I've had folks get relief quickly and others it can take a while unfortunately.
