Question

Hello,

I've read through some posts and this website seems to be very helpful.  I'm hoping I can get some direction on my situation.

I feel like this May be mostly in my head to prefice this.  Exactly one week ago I had unprotected sex with an exotic dancer.  Only for about 5 minutes but I know that doesn't matter.

I sort of panicked about 48 hours later and got tested at a quest diagnostics location (checked for everything and igg blood as well).  Two days later all tests came back negative.  I realize incubation periods differ but for some reason I keep reading about herpes symptoms.  Today in dead of summer, I have a bad head cold ( runny nose, cough , congestion etc) and I keep reading about flu symptoms).  I can't help but feel like I may have contracted something.

I have no evidence of sores or anything but I keep reading about the initial synptoms of an outbreak and freak myself out.  I also find myself checking my genitals almost hourly and I feel like that alone is irritating my skin.

Any direction is appreciated.  I plan on getting tested again in about 8-10 weeks.  I guess my major concern is I don't know if the sick feeling /congestion/ flu symptoms have anything to do with the unprotected sex.

Thanks in advance.

Yes it was vaginal. Going on day 10, starting to feel better but still fatigued and no appetite.
