herpes or lyme

Is it possible for the herpes to be mistaken for Lyme disease. Three years ago I was told by my Dr after doing blood work that I had herpes. I've been tested several times and it always comes back positive. I have never had an outbreak that I am aware of. This past November I was told by my Dr that I also had Lyme disease. For many many years I have been suffering from severe fatigue and joint pain and just always felt like I had been run over by a truck and hurt all over. Are the test similar? Could one be mistaken for the other? Is it possible I don't have herpes since I have never had an outbreak? Thank you.

no, herpes will never be mistaken as lyme disease. herpes also doesn't cause the symptoms you have been having long term.

I can best help you with your herpes test results if you get them to post here - e.g. hsv1 igg 5.4 and hsv2 igg .45 are the numbers I need to see to help you.

Hello
If you test for IgG type specific and if it comes back positive for HSV 1 it means u have herpes type 1 which is really not as bad as type 2.......Most of the people do not have any symptoms...no cold sores, nothing
But they say if HSV 2 comes positive...Anything below 3.5 is considered false positive
This is what i have learnt after two weeks time
Dont worry...Herpes or no Herpes...It is not a life threatening disease...
I pray that u dont have herpes...
God Bless U
