Risk in ORAL

Dear Dr. Hansfield,

I'm an almost 40 year old female, who received unprotected cunningulis from a guy about a month ago, as a result from this brief and stupid encounter, about 2 weeks ago I ended up at my gynecologist because I was extremely irritated in my vagina, specially in the opening of it, my clitoris, my labia, I told him what concerns I had, he pretty much calm me down, gave me diflucan for yeast, made culture for clamydia and gonorrea, came back negative,  I was worried about herpes, he looked visually said no to that one, today February 10th. 2014, I took 2nd dose of diflucan, even though I got better, I still itch now is only at the opening of my vagina and im still a bit irritated, I'm worried about bacterial vaginitis or trichomonas but  don't have any discharge or fishy smell, I'm soooo worried about HERPES? , HPV even HIV, ? What can it be?? How big is my RISK at any of them ???what should i tell my DOCTOR TO TEST ME for AGAIN?  I can't sleep at night I'm loosing my mind, my senses, I'm in so much need of HELP!!! Please HELP ME!!!! Thank you so much!

Nearly impossible for a female to get them from receiving oral for gono and chlamydia. Remember if a person did have it orally it would be in the back of their throat not on the tongue or front mouth area.

Really not an issue. Its more for giving oral than receiving from.

Hi, to ask the doctor youll need to post in the expert forum but to answer your concerns here, this type of activity is fairly low risk. You can pretty much rule out std,s like Gono and chlamydia as the bacteria for these would be in the back of his throat not the mouth area. Its more of a risk from mouth to penis and in that would have to be a "deep throat" oral where the penis reaches the back of the throat.
As for HIV, not any risk at all, so dont be concerned about this.

The risk for herpes would be there but without any lip sores on him at the time, the risk would be quite low as shedding occurs about 9-18% of the time.
Herpes outbreaks are open sores and when you get them in the genital area would be more than just an irritation but quite annoying. They really dont appear herpes related as what your describing as once they appear, they scab over and heal in about 2 weeks or so. Also they are only on one side.
