Scared of Hs2
Soo im really scared that I am crying while im typing this, im really worried about oral HSV2....about 2 saturdays ago, I went for a bike ride it was very windy outside, my lips were acting funny because i didn't have any chap stick and kept licking them, so i ride to my friends house we end up hooking up, no intercourse but there was making out for a very long time wet kissing, then oral sex performed on each other, ever since that day my lips have been hurting, like a dried but irritated feeling, no bumps or blisters, my lips look perfectly fine its the feeling im worried about and I have a serious case of anxiety so im horrified right now that i could have caught hsv2 from this situation ...please some one help i really need clarity

I went to the ER last night they said that I have allergic conjunctivitis, I know conjunctivitis could be viral (herpes) or bacterial, I also told them about my lip he looked inside and out again and couldn't see anything he said ... I dont believe this could be due to anxiety ? I'm loosing it grace
none of your symptoms are due to herpes. runny nose, water and itchy eyes are allergy/cold symptoms, not herpes symptoms.
I guess im worried because of how everything happened, would you say this is all coincidence that all this took place around the same time, and this is not due to hsv2? i have runny nose,watery and itchy eyes, and my eyes are sore to along with the irritated/extremly dry lips I dont know if these symptoms show anything in relations to what im worried about but yea grace
cultures are more known for false negatives than false positives.
you were seen and your provider didn't think you had oral herpes going on. your symptoms also don't sound like oral herpes. why worry so much?

you really think so? how you figure? i went for an examination yesterday and the doctor looked inside and outside with a light and couldn't find evidence to say its herpes because my lips are clean, so he swabbed the whole mouth and sent for culture im still scared and very frightened..i've also heard that the culture can give false positives? you spoke about odds? what are the odds grace?
odds are this is just simple chapped lips dear. if you are this anxious about it all, be seen for a proper exam but meanwhile apply a good lip moisturizer on your lips.
