Test Results

I have received Herpes test results:

HSV1 IGG = 4.33
HSV2 IGG = 2.85

What does this mean?  I have no typical symptoms such as cold sores, blisters, bumps, or any other skin irritations.  I have not engaged in any unsafe sex practices for over two months.  I did go through a flu-like period for the last couple of weeks with headaches, and feeling hot even though I had no fever.

the flu like symptoms we refer to are not cold symptoms.  your symptoms are that of the common cold or a similar upper respiratory infection.

thanks.  though I've found several places stating that persistant headaches, swollen glands, and other flu-like symptoms are sometimes attributed to HSV2.

your hsv1 is most likely oral. Most adults have hsv1 orally but most of them don't get obvious cold sores to know that they are infected.

your hsv2 is a low positive and needs confirmed with further testing. At this point I'd wait another 2 months and repeat it and go from there.

headaches, runny nose and sore throat with a cough is an upper respiratory infection, not signs of herpes.

Possible exposure would have been in late December.  I got tested this past Friday.  I feel good now, but for the past two weeks I've had headaches, runny nose, sore throat and coughing.  No exterior symptoms.
