When can I test for herpes? + herpes hiv question

How long do I wait for a reliable test result? How accurate are herpes tests? I had possible exposure 1 month ago can I test now or wait?

I'm nearly 100% sure I'm positive for hiv. How bad does herpes affect hiv treatment? Does herpes complicate hiv treatment a lot? Does this affect life expectancy?

I had a very high risk encounter and have multiple symptoms. I tried to stay positive and believe they were just in my mind. However a rash has just appeared on my chest so I have no doubt in my mind now. Thanks for the info btw I cant find really find much info on hsv complicating hiv. But I'll have to wait and see I suppose. And I'm getting tested Monday just to confirm my suspicion. I've been told that 4th generation testing is extremely accurate at 28 days. Who knows maybe this chest rash is all psychological too.

HIV will complicate herpes because your immune system will not efficiently fight the hsv virus I believe. However I don't believe that hsv increases complications with HIV.

Why do you believe yourself to have hiv?
Also with HIV testing I believe 8 weeks on 4th gen testing is beat but guidelines suggest 12 weeks?
They do have tests they can run earlier and if you're very certain you have it now, speak with a doctor and he will give you meds if he agrees necessary, but it may delay testing accuracy
