Ocular herpes is rare.  Its not something I would worry about.

Hey grace,

I have read that the virus can move up the nerve into the eye area.. but how likely is this? It must be very rare right, since I haven't read too many cases of this? If I take suppressive therapy, would the chances of this happening lower?

Either direct contact with herpes virus - lips/kissing or contact with other body parts or in the case of some eye herpes infections - the virus can actually move up the nerve into the eye area sometimes ( it's a really short path ).
