How are cold sores spread?

Hello, I hope I can get some clarification on a concern of mine.
About 2 days ago, I was out with a group of friends, were hanging out and drinking a bit. A friend of friend of mine got a little wasted and got touchy with me and kept kissing my neck, she wanted things to move forward but I didn't...fast forward to later that night, my friend tells me to watch out because "that girl has oral herpes", needless to say I was a bit thrown off and immediately worried about whether or not this can be contagious. After some research, I got answers both for yes and for no....so, i'm a bit confused. I'd there any chance I can get the virus from what she did, she did not have any lesions present, only kissed my neck a couple of times, only once did she suck a bit.
I appreciate you reading this and any response. Thank you.

The chances are low but remember even without lesions there will be a risk of transmission, since I got it from someone without lesions. So do check if you have any symptoms within this week, if no then you did not have it.

It is highly unlikely without an active outbreak.  Your dating life is going to be extraordinarily difficult of you worry excessively about oral HSV-1, given that it's estimated that 67% of the population has it.

Don't kiss anyone with an active outbreak, and your chances of contracting it will remain low.

Thank you so much. The subsequent response is part of the reason why it's so confusing. I read the update herpes handbook from west over heights and must say i'm feeling better about this. Does not seem like there's any reason for me to worry. Again, I appreciate your time and reply. Thank you.
