Thanks for the Help..

I have another question, I see the doc again Wed and we are going to have std testing, he said stuff can start to show at the 6 week mark but may not necessarily and if it is negative it is a good sign but not definite..my question now is I have very small blisters on my lip (upper left side) only a few, very tiny and hard to see, and the lips are really dry, and there is like a pinch and it stings. all around my lips they feel chapped. On a side note..
Doc has me on Amoxicillin because I noticed white things in the back of my throat, I have felt better at times but still not right. I was out of work 3 days last week because of it.. Iknow I keep harrassing you..but I am really just curious on the blisters if what I described sounds like herpes or something. I see him Wed and get tested then but I was hoping you might be able to answer this LAST one for me..You have been gracious grace = )
ok thanks. as long as it is not HIV or an STD I will deal with it
you can always go see someone else for a 2nd opinion dear. really nothing else I can help you with at this point.
Can I ask something? Saw my doc again, and he said my tongue is normal. I keep having symptoms though, and now I have a sore throat and just dont feel well. I gues it is still flu like symptoms. I just don't see how the 'flu' if that is what it is..can last over 45days. He at least scraped my tongue and set it out for testing.
I called the doc, and they said that when I was there he did not think my tongue was white!!! I have foaming at the mouth like, on ea side from the back of the tongue to the middle of it with some blotches in the back to the middle. This is how it has been for a while now. I am going again on Tues and get a culture.
The current flu going around has been kicking folks butts for 2-3 weeks :(
don't hesitate to be seen again for further advice.
Hi again Grace...I have another question!! I took an antibiodic the for the last week, and I do feel better but not 100%. The white tongue is not better. I am starting to not feel as good again..can the flu last for weeks? This all started back on the 16th of December and I still have all the aches. If the antibiodic did not heal the white tongue. Does this sound more like a fungus? Doc did not think so but I may need to go back AGAIN. I am drying out again..unless the flu is just really bad??/
thanks..i think i will take your advice.. i cant tell you how bad i feel..and now my back really hurts (center right of the spine and the spine itself) and I feel just horrible. I am so dry I cant explain it. No matter how much water or gatorade my mouth is white (doc said it is dehydration not thrush). I need to get the rest the doc said i need but i have not slept much.
The girl i was with used her had for the 6 seconds or so and i was concerned because she had used the bathroom beforehand and did not wash, she rinsed her hand fast (i mean a blurp) and used some hand sanitizer and i dont think she got much out of the container because it was almost empty..that is why i was concerned about it, so i was concerned of something on her hand
Grace, Thanks for your patience with my questions
you weren't at risk for hepatitis. stop reading about std's online to convince yourself needlessly that you contracted something from this!!!
trust me, the flu can totally kick your butt :(
Hi, my doctor says this is the flu. He does not think it is fungal. I still have back pain, feel uncomfortable after eating, and also acid reflux, itchy, muscles were sore. tired(even though I need to get more rest) I just dont feel or look right. Now I understand it could be anxiety or something, but what about Hepatitis c or b?
That is my last question. I seem to have some symptoms of Hep c. You mentioned that no std's could be given by hand contact, is hep c or b considered std's? (It may not be hep c or b of course..my doc did not think I caught anything,,I had no tests..too early)
ok thanks..just a bit paranoid!!
Thanks for your help...I have never had the flu before and I am 41 so all this is new to me believe it or not so I am beside myself
you have no reason to think you have meningitis.
I will on Monday, 1 last question. Could Meningitis be a concern? My arms at time are tight, and my spine was more sore than normal. I did kiss her on the cheek and was kind of close to her.
flonase can set you up for oral fungal infections too so certainly get a proper exam.
I think I was having a reaction to Flonase. (nasal sray) Whn the symptoms started was still taking it, and I may have missed a day but I remember taking it and then the symptoms got much worse. What I was experiencing was unlike anything that I can remember. I still have the white blotches on my tongue. I dont know what else it is because I am still not feeling right but I will ee what the doc ays
Thanks for your notes..they were helpful.
hand to genital contact isn't a risk for std's.
I think it does, but what about the hand to penis contact? Sorry, I am just trying to get it right in my mind, that is the last piece I am concerned about, if she had something on her hand or something? hepatitis or anything u just mentioned? will a condom protect against hepatitis?
protected vaginal/anal sex is a risk for hpv, herpes and syphilis. protected oral sex is no risk at all since a condom covers the entire area where all the oral to genital contact occurs. make more sense?
Go and have yourself tested, its a simple test they'll look the area over and then they will do a test with a q-tip on the area with an issue, if they feel they need to do it. Good luck :)
Thanks..can I ask a few more? Cant one catch an std even from using a condom? I was reading somewhere herpes or hpv and I think 2 others can still be transmitted that way and I just want the facts. Even with the unprotected hand contact? The girl was someone I picked up off the street, and that is why I am really concerned. I have cottage cheese like whiteness on my tongue, maybe it is a yeast infection or something then?
appreciate the info, it's helpful
your symptoms are that of a viral infection of a non-std nature - the kind you easily transmit from kissing someone or even just breathing within 3 feet of them.
protected oral is no risk for any std's at all.
