herpes of the throat

My daughter has been tested twice for mono and strep in the last 3 weeks. Someone suggested that she may have herpes of the throat. Her symptoms are swollen tonsils, puss pockets at times on the tonsils, skin tenderness, puffy face. She has been on Orapred for the inflammation and that seems to help. Just wanted to know if these were any symptoms of that disease.

Oral herpes usually doesn't cause puss pockets.  There's no reason to doubt the diagnosis that your daughter has been given.
