chances of getting herpes

i need help n i cant sleep;;here is my story

11/12/10=i (male)had unprotected sex with my ex.it last around 40 seconds n i ejaculate outside.right afterthat,im scared that she might having something(any STD'S).since then,everyday n everytime i keep looking at my genital area n found nothing n everything looks like normal.(concern about having symptoms of gon,sypls,herpes n chlmyda)

19/12/10=took all std test n all come back negative except for hsv1.i noe this is still to early.(till this test,still    looking at my genital area)

11/2/11=my ex told me that she had hsv2 n just found out through her 1st test-before this never took a test(untill she called me,still looking at my genital area n everything looks normal)

question:
1) do i need to take any suppressive theraphy?
2) what are the chances of getting herpes?
3)can herpes cause you feel ithcy all over the body?coz it started right after i heard dis news

right after the sex,she washed her part with soap n i dont think there was any lesion or sores coz it might hurt even i noe the virus can shedd even without lesion or sore.


i had no symptoms of herpes till today..thanks 4 ur time reading my story..

thanks 4 the 'peace of mind' advise..hopefully there is nothing happen coz since the day ive got the phne call,most of my time i keep reading and finding information on this forum n many people have d same situation like me.

1.  You said all your tests were negative.  HSV won't be accurate for 3 months.  Your test coming back postive on HSV-1 could mean you had HSV-1 as a child.  

2.  This was a risk for herpes because of the unprotected skin to skin contact.  Though a one time encounter is not likely to lead to infection.

3.  No.  But anxiety can cause that.  

If you have had no symptoms of herpes chances are anything going on isn't herpes.  If you had symptoms within 2-20 days then I would say you need to worry.  If you need peace of mind re-test using a type specific igg test 3 months after your last sexual encounter.

Hi pressure261, I fully understand your anxiety. My situation is definitely worse than yours as I am getting married soon. The rates of transmitting STD are high as long as there's skin to skin contact. I was contracted with chlmydia even with protected sex. Grace will be in better position to ans your enq.
