is this lip tigling herpes
Hello i am a 24yr old female i have recently involved myself in risky behavior i went through a bad breakup my boyfriend cheated on me and i felt vulnerable and insecure so i slept with a guy i gave oral and i had unprotected sex with him about a week later i went out and slept with another guy protected no oral but i kissed him and noticed a sore in his mouth about 3 days later i started to have mouth tingling and burning its been about seven weeks now and it still persists i also have had bumps two bumps between my vagina and anal area they have also been there seven weeks with no change and they dont hurt i went to see my gynecologist she said she thinks its just a clogged hair she also did a full pelvic exam and didnt see anything in or around the anal or vaginal area and an std screening without a herpes test i did have bv but was treated for it i have yet to have any bumbs or anything around my lips they are just irritated and burn and tingle i am really scared i have children and i dont want to pass it on to them i plan on going to another clinic to get a herpes blood test just to rule it out but im so afraid that i have it i feel like knowing is the only way to feel better i just would like to know what you all think and help me through if i do have it i dont have a very good support system and im starting to feel depressed all the time..... thank you
I wouldn't retest if it was me. At 9 weeks 90+% would be positive by now. You can retest but I highly doubt it will change.

Sorry im back because i thought i was finished with this whole herpes scare but yesterday i formed this pimple on my chin and i popped it didnt think anything of it until today when i woke up with this red bump on the top of my lip what looks like a mosquito bite in the middle i am freaking out because its really big atleast to me i dont know what to do i dont have a script to help it progress and i just really dont want it on my face for 2weeks if this is my first official ob i guess it could be worse do you have any tips for treatment
I got my results back this morning they came back negative at 9 weeks but it was a blood pcr test im not very confident about it but i really want to believe it...how accurate is the pcr test and should i retest at 12 weeks
I would ask for a print out. If the results are negative then no need for further questions. If not then we can cross that bridge at that time. Just come back with your results and we can hash it all out

I also wanted to ask you what are somethings i should ask my doctor when i go back for my results... if i dont have it i want to lower my anxiety as much as possible and if i do have it i want to educate myself as much as possible for myself and my children should i ask for a printout of my results i just dont want to miss anything im very anxious and tuesday will b 9weeks idk wat kind of test im taking she just said hsv blood test i hope not igm
Oral hsv 1 is a very common thing and nothing you should feel that bad about. That being said I still doubt thats what is going on. Your Dr should be able to sort this out. Seven weeks is way to long to have herpes symptoms.

Well two days ago i passed out at work and they gave me a bunch of tests that has prompted my doctor to schedule me labs for hsv thank God!!!! I find out my results friday i will post then thank you for everything and im hoping i can stay strong wether i get good or bad news
I really wouldn't worry about the protected sex at all. Condoms work very well and anything that was covered by the condom is a non issue. The virus does shed in areas not covered by a condom but it is rare to contract hsv in those aeeas. The skin of the genitals is very thin and is a much easier pathway for the virus. The pubic area has much thicker skin and does not see the type of friction that the penis shaft or vagina opening does.
As far as the lip line issue. Just keep an eye on it. I personally get a pimple in that area so at this point try not to stress to hard. Remember, somewhere around 70% of adults have oral hsv1 so never coming into contact with it at some point isn't realistic.

Well its been three days since the area on my lip was there and nothing else happened but i have tried everything and the tingling still persists also i have had three cracks on my lips since this started about seven weeks which i didnt think was related but after i googled somethings i saw that cracked lips is a mild hsv type of outbreak but why is it taking so long to heal if i do have hsv1 i know i got it recently from the guy i kissed i just hope that i didnt spread it to my vaginal area due to the fact i pleasure myself using my own syliva i have a doctors appt for sat hopefully they can tell me what is going on i pray its not hsv but im passed the denial anger and regret stages now i just want the tingling to stop and move on with my life this has literally driven me crazy ive been stressed to the max crying and in fear for my vhildren and future realationships all because of a night i really could have gone without idk ill update with my results after saturday and again thank you for everything
What you describe is definitely not hsv. The virus simply does not act that way. Your symptoms have lasted way to long. I do get the sense you have a lot of anxiety over this and are very aware of every sensation and my guess is thats all it is.
Your bumps are not hsv either. They would have run their course from red bump to fluid filled blisters in a few days. Two weeks and they would be healed. The spot your pumps are on would not be the area you would've contracted the virus.
Even your unprotected encounter was very low risk. If he did have hsv 2 your chances are 1 in a 1000.

Thank you and also today i started to have a raised area under my lip line it has yet to form any blister or pimple like cluster its just hard im guessing i will know more about it tomorrow or the day after i am really thankful for you answering my post and i will continue to update with my symptoms and test results when i receive them. Im just really nervous and today is the first time this has happenend to me the spot on my lip line it hasnt gone away in about 5 hours im sure its probly hsv 1 but idk and i also forgot to mention that after intercourse with the protected guy with the sore. Hey took the condom off and masterbated didnt get near me but i noticed like two bumps on his penial shaft it didnt look like they were on a red base when i think about it but i didnt get a good enough look at it
