please tell me what i have

i first went to the doctor when i noticed two bumps that didnt itch. they started to itch a little bit but usually when i thought about them. i went to the doctore and he said i had herpes. he took a blood test and the same day put me on valtrex. after the first week i went back and told him the rash had not gone away and he said he would put me on one more prescription of valtrex. i went back the next week and told him the rash had not gone away and he took a second look and noticed a chancre and said that i might have syphilis or another std. the confusing part to me is that i already took a blood test and he made it seem like it came back positive now we are doing other tests. here are my symptoms. chancre that is starting to heal and my penis sometimes itches. i dont really pay attention to the chancre but i think it itches every once in a while. i dont kow what i have. help?

no, it doesn't sound like herpes going on. repeat your testing in another month and go from there but meanwhile follow up on your symptoms with a different provider.

it'll be 3 months in like 2 weeks. does asny of my symptoms sound like herpes? painless sores. shedding of the penis. and after using valtrex for 20 days they got no better. a lof of ppl say with valtrext it shoudl heel in 2 to 3 weeks but its been way longer. what do you think it might be and im going to the doctor tomorrow

if you have symptoms, you  need to return and be seen again.

you need to wait 3 months after the last time you had sex to test. had it been that long?

well i had sex with this person around early febuary. i just recently had my test. how long are you supposed to wait? and i dont know what i have. now my penis is shadding. top of the head kinda looks a little swollen. i have to bumps but one of them has been there for almost a month. and the other one recently came but it was little so i tried to pop it and it got worse but it is healing fast so idk. im going crazy. what do you think it sounds like

do you have a regular partner? if so, they too need tested for herpes. if this was a recently acquired herpes infection, your testing was done too early.  that said, your symptoms do not sound like they are herpes related at all.

I certainly wouldn't hesitate to get a 2nd opinion on what is going on. it sounds like your provider is doing a lot of guessing :(

all tests came back negative. the doctor said it was cysts and gave me medicine for it

i think ive been having symptoms but just didnt notice because i never knew any till just now but you could be right. thanks for your help and i will let you know what the test results are tomorrow. i just pray its not herpes.

Well some meds can cause you to have a yeast infection so if you are now having symptoms of one that could be a new issue. Tomorrow ask what the results of your herpes test was. You can even ask to see all of his notes or get copies. Make a list of everything you want to ask or discuss so you don't feel when you leave that you didn't remember something.

he didnt tell me. he just put me on valtrex. im starting to think its a yeast infection because a lot of the symptoms say its a yeast infection too and i took the at home spit test for the yeast infection and it did everything it said it would do if i had a yeast infection. idk im going back tomorrow to find out whats going on. i hope its not herpes though because when he first told me i had it i felt like it was the end of my life now that the valtrex didnt work and he said it could be something else my hopes are up high. i pray for something cureable.

Have you asked if your herpes test was positive? You will need to wait til your syphilis test results are back and know if that is in fact what you have. No one on this site can tell you what you have. Only help with understanding what you know you have.
