question about herpes swab test.

i went to a doc who was very terrible. i have pimple-like sores and itch down there, also ON my hemorrhoids (which are always there) . he took a look for 2 sec and told me it's herpes and i need to take valtrex then walked out the room with no explanation. it happened on Sat, so i took a pill on Sun and decided i need to get another opinion

so i went to planned parenthood today (Mon) . the doc there said it seems like a yeast infection but she did another swab test anyway.

my question since i'd been talking valtrex for a day (Sun) , would it confuses my new swab test? Like it would block the test from detect the herpes since valtrex might helps kill some virus and finally the result will come back as false negative? please helps

yes indeed one dose of valtrex could actually cause a false negative lesion culture as well as the passage of time too increases the odd of a false negative.

do you have a regular partner?  have you or your partner ever had type specific herpes igg blood testing done before?

I dont think so. The doctor (if doing a swab) shouldtry and swab the fluids from within the bump. As far as i know, the fluid in the bump (if herpes) should be very good to test for the virus. If the fluid is already in the bump it should show. I hope it isint tho... good luck. Im kinda in the same situation rite now. I know what your going thru.
