scared I have ghsv

I am a male, 23. On NYE I drank way too much and had relations with a girl who has ghsv1. We never had sex but rolled around naked and and fooled around a bit. That was Friday morning around 4am. Come Sunday I notice a line of tiny pimple looking bumps on the head of my penis just on the rim (circumcised). I thought it may have been my change of detergent so I switched. Well the bumps are almost nonexistent now, can only be seen under close inspection. But over the past few days I've had a pain in my testicles and groin as well as red swollen testicles. And now, this morning when I awoke, I my lower back was sore. I also got sick (coughing, fever, stuffy nose, etc) on Sunday. Initial contact was on the morning of 01Jan15 at 4am. It is now 12Jan15.

I just had the blood test a few days ago and my levels came back high (positive). This all makes no sense to me.

Herpes sores clear up in about a week or 2 and are not under the skin bumps but topical open sores or razor type cuts, Have a test if your concerned.

I would test for hsv1 as a baseline as you may have it and not know it so you dont freak about testing positive later on, this would mean you have a oral hsv1 from before, if you had a negative test before
Be sure to wait at least 8 weeks for hsv1&2 tests and test at 12 weeks if you are still concerned. Ask your std clinic or doctor for an IGG type specific test

Contracting herpes is by genital to genital rubbing esp when a sore is present. What your describing is not any thing to be concerned about at all.
