Rabies pep and Zoloft interaction

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the help.

I am receiving rabies post exposure vaccination for an incident that took place outside of the US. Concurrently I was prescribed Zoloft by another physician.

I have read that the vaccine should not be used with immunosuppressive drugs as it may result in a poor antibody response. I know that zoloft is not classed as an imminosuppressive drug, but there are a number of studies that are saying it may in fact possess such mechanisms and may be beneficial for graft v host issues.

Can anyone explain if and why they are safe to take together?

I'd like to take the Zoloft for anxiety but i don't want to interfere with the vaccine's immunogenicity. Thanks so much.
