Frequent Urination, loss of appetit and white tongue

Hi everyone,

I really need your help I becoming depressed as I can't find an answer from doctors.

My symptoms are the following after receiving an unprotected fellatio and have protected vaginal sex.

- It started by having an having in increased feeling to urinate with an urge although my bladder is not that full. I can go like 10 times per day sometimes, and sometimes it is better and I go much less

- after 11 weeks I noticed that I have a white coated tongue or hairy tongue don't know exactly the diference. I know also sometimes I experience a dry mouth. i did an throat culture (sample take from the tongue) and it was negative. I  noticed the white coat on my tongue 2 weeks after dental work and being on antibiotics for 8 days (Dalacin C 300mg), I also have a cavity since long time. do not know if this is relevant.

I did an oral swab which came back negative it said: no pathogens growth after 36 hours of incubation. this result exclude tush right? I did another one yesterday for confirmation and waiting for the results.

- with my tongue I also started to not have any appetite, I completly lost appetit, I feel hungry very rarely and I lost weight around 4 kilo in 2 months. and this week 2 kilos by it self. THIS IS WHAT IS WORRYING ME THE MOST I DO NOT FEEL HUNGRY!!!

I did a CBC, urine tets, STD test and they are all normal. what tests should i do or should I have done? what can it be? what should I look for? which is the best doctor to consult?

Please any advise.

Thanks for your reply. what do you mean by confirmatory tests? I did all STD tests at 3 months except Hep B which I made at 2 months. I also have my CBC results on my profile. I would be greatful if you were to let me know your input on them especially on the lymphocytes variation. My last CBC was done just after one week of Candivast (anti-fungal medication). My appetite has improved a little and I gained around 2 Kilo (4 pounds in two days) I was focusing on eating to rule out any disease that doesn't make you metabolize food.

I went to a generalist, ENT, dermatologist, dentist/oral pathologist and they were not really surprised of my tongue. neither said it is leukoplakia, oral lichen planus. how can it be oral trush if I did an oral swab and it was negative? I will also do a KOH test tomorrow. if this one is also negative than it is definitely NOT trush, yeast candida?

How are you? It is good that the initial diagnostic test results were fine, How was the result of the confirmatory test? Your symptoms can be due to medication side effect or from infectious issues such as oral thrush, leukoplakia, oral lichen planus. Further diagnostic tests may need to be done to determine the underlying cause of your  other symptoms such as loss of apetite. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper management. Follow-up with your dentist may also help. Take care and do keep us posted.
