No the tube doesn't always use its vacuum. It only loses its vacuum if they take it out of the arm when the tube is pressed into the rubber gasket that is inside the vacutainer. It is a particular mechanism. But even if it didn't have its vacuum it wouldn't go back into your vein. So no problem there either. It isn't like an IV or injection that a doctor or nurse gives you.

Okay thanks Just a query,I was going through forums, and I learnt that once the tube is punctured, it looses it's vacuum and thus no blood can be drawn. Now, as there was no vacuum in the tube, can the blood from the tube flow into the vein because of negative pressure?
