Sinusitis?

Symptoms:
- 3 months ago caught a cold on holiday, which was a pretty bad cold and stuck around for ages
- Sinus pain in forehead on flight home
- Bad cough for 4 weeks after
- Cough gone but get tightness in chest, but only seems to be in morning after I walk to work (10 mins)
- White mucus from back of nose going down my throat. Post nasal drip?
- Swelling at back of mouth on one side. Think it is saliva gland. Applying pressure sometimes drains into mouth, foul taste - pus?
- Small amount of blood in spit when I wake up. Not clear where it's coming from but I don't think it's from gums. From saliva gland?
- Coated tongue at the back, can scrape away but comes back very quickly. Enlarged papillae at back. Did have enlarged papillae in centre too but they have gone with cleaning and mouthwash. Coating is dull coloured, not white. I think bacterial but could be thrush? Assuming infection related to saliva gland.
- Eyes feel sore and a little dry but no redness.
- Draining sinuses by pushing tongue to roof of mouth seems to release mucus but doesn't alleviate symptoms.

My theory is that all these symptoms are caused by the sinusitis.

Do you still have any of these symptoms? Sounds like a bit of bronchitis after having a virus. It takes a couple of months to go away unless you get antibiotics. Could be sinusitis or could have been. It usually resolves on its own. Humidifier helps. Sounds like a bacteria not yeast on the tongue. It is normal to get a lot of this. You can just keep scraping it away. I get it several times a day. It mostly all sounds viral except for the sinus and that will resolve if it didn't sometimes they come back. If it isn't resolved or it came back they can do a culture or you can see if the doctor agrees if you can use a topical antibiotic in the nose with a Q-tip very gently. Don't do this regularly. If you still have it ask them first. Doing this all the time can promote bacterial resistance. If the tightness and/or cough isn't gone the doctor can tell by listening to your chest if you need an antibiotic or not. It should resolve on its own.
If you have any more questions I'll try to answer. I don't know why the question didn't come up for me to see it. Sorry.
